Hello friends!
I’m thinking it’s probably safe enough to share these cards now as they have probably been received by now or nearly. In any case the recipients won’t check the blog so as long as I keep them off social media for a few days, we should be good.
today’s art . . .
Today’s offering are these shadow box Christmas cards I made for my book group friends. We’ve known each other a long time, our group started in 2005!
I decided to keep everything white so I did all the diecutting in white mixed media paper, assembled them, and then at the last minute I changed my mind and gave them a coloured backdrop courtesy of Unchartered Mariner Distress Oxide and then added some gold splatters and some glittery Stickles.
I made five cards in total, and that was plenty of diecutting for one day!
They are a type of pop-up card that folds flat for mailing so I am really hoping that they survive their journeys and can be opened up and stood up the way they are shown here. Fingers crossed eh!
I showed this photo in the post about the Christmas ornaments as they were posted off together to each of the five people.
Let me know what you think in the comments. As always, thanks for reading!Ingredients
mixed media paper, shadow box die, distress oxide sprays, glue, stickles, gold paint,
