Hi Friends,
I am trying to catch up a bit with the journalling events that I planned to join this month, and I’m feeling quite good that I am up to date with Care December and working my way through the other two challenges. The main issue at the moment is having so little good light to take the photos – approx a hour a day lol – so I need to be quick and home at the right time! If you haven’t heard of this event, Care December is held by the Wanderlust people, Everything Art UK, it’s a free event that anyone can join on their website.
Today’s Art . . .
About today’s pages: This background is sprayed with Infusions and splattered with gold paint. On top I added a chipboard feather that I had used a while back for gel printing and some paper scraps underneath. On the facing page I used a couple of images of things to remind me of cosy winter moments and to take a mindful moment break regularly.

About the journal: This entire journal is made from handmade paper and all the negative pieces leftover from diecutting all those Christmas cards a few weeks ago. I was using A4 paper for all the diecutting and so I was left with all of that diecutting waste, so I decided I would use it for the background of my pages. On top of that I sprayed either Infusions, or Distress Oxide or a combination of both, so for a change the inside of my journal has a consistent look! I am also using some old paper that I found in a drawer, it’s a book of hmm I guess like a cardmaking kit, so there are lots of elements that you are supposed to assemble into cards. It cost me £3 years ago and I liked the wintry images, so I figured I would try and use it up in this journal and see how it went. I also typed out all the daily prompts and printed them out and glued them to each page.
Let me know what you think in the comments. As always, thanks for reading!

I love that feather. It is so well done. I had trouble understanding mindfulness reminder and was glad how you interpreted it. I want some of that cocoa (grin).
Making paper is on my bucket list.
