Today’s Art . . .
Today’s art is this page that I made as an entry for AJJ where the theme is recycling – see link at bottom of post. The background of the page is covered with fabric scraps from two different fabrics and then some gel printed deli paper scraps. The focal point is this picture of Frida on a cardboard box.
The inspiration for this page was the box that contained my Frida planter. The box is so cute I couldn’t bear to throw it out. I’ve only used one side of the box on this page so I will have to think of something else to do with the rest of this pretty box.
I used a black posca to add a decorative edge around the Frida box, and write this quote from Frida Kahlo, which I think is quite appropriate for this month of Earth Day and recycling and being green.
Let me know what you think in the comments. As always, thanks for reading.

I’m late because I STILL have four cats and two households to look after. I’ve been saving cracker boxes, but they are certainly NOT as cute as your Frida planter box. I love the colors, the fabric with the selvedge line, and the scraps you chose. Thank you for sharing this adorable page with us at Art Journal Journey using Bleubeard’s and my theme.
