Today’s Art . . .
Today’s art is this whole entire journal that I made for the Dephemerember challenge in December 2022 but didn’t even manage to get half the pages done since I was so busy and got behind with everything. I think also this challenge was extra time consuming because it was a daily challenge with three components, one was optional, but I wanted to do all three. Then because it was December, I ran out of time to finish it because of all the extra criteria and possibly because I was trying to do three daily challenges at once!
Because of Earth Day and recycling month, I decided to make an effort to get it finished finally!
depehemerember flip through fast forward by EOTC
This first video is a fast forward of me opening all the pages and showing all the bits and pieces. It’s at 4x speed because otherwise the video was too large to upload plus it could get very boring at normal speed. Total length 1.15mins.
Because there are 25 pages in this journal challenge, I have chosen one page made this month as one of my favourites for today’s art, and I have two short videos to show the whole journal and a list of all the recycled/reused/repurposed stuff I used for the journal. The one above is the fast forward flip-through, the one below is a slideshow of photos with the challenge criteria noted on each.

Now that I know how long this challenge takes (admittedly a lot of it is thinking and planning rather than doing) I will be better prepared for the next one!
Let me know what you think in the comments. As always, thanks for reading.
I was blown away as I checked each page. I stopped it a LOT so I could see each page and what you created. I am curious. You printed out all the animals and fussy cut additional animals to add to the pages? You must have a great printer. I especially like how you treated the monkeys. You did a BRILLIANT job. I may do this next year instead of Trovember. I truly LOVE what you created. It’s a fabulous journal and just made me sit up and really look at each page individually. Thanks for sharing this with Bleubeard and me using our recycling theme at Art Journal Journey. BLOWN AWAY!!!!!
Holy cow-this journal is really really amazing Elle. I’m so glad you finished it and shared it with us at AJJ for Bleubeard’s and Elizabeth’s challenge. I love the animal theme and all the pockets and other ways to place a card. You’ve inspired me with this journal. And I like how even though you started it in december you didn’t make it all holiday-ish. I’m loving this-if you can’t tell. Thanks for sharing with us. Now I want to go up and work on a journal myself, but think I’m going to sneak out into the garden before the rain comes this PM. Enjoy your weekend. hugs-Erika
