Happy new month everyone!
Since it is the very first day of the month, I am excited to share my DT inspiration project for September at More Than Words with you.
This month’s challenge is all about taking a NATURE WALK and to be inspired by the great outdoors.
Nature Walk
I created four different backgrounds for this page idea before settling on this one which is made with lots of Paperartsy Fresco paints layered on top of each other. I liked the colours and they reminded me of being in a forest, so that is the subject of my nature walk.
Last year I painted this owl in watercolours. At the time I scanned it in to the computer before the original page was added to my journal so that I could have the owl without a big crease down the middle. Then I printed it off in different sizes. This is one of the smaller sizes and it was just the right size for adding to my page.
For my words element I used some quote stickers adhered to some book paper – this will be a nice addition for my Books, Cats and Tea theme over on Art Journal Journey this month too.
Let me know what you think in the comments. As always, thanks for reading and HappyJournalling!Ingredients
watercolour paper, Paperartsy fresco paints, watercoloured owl, gold pen, acrylic ink, quote stickers, book paper, brown ink. glue,

Wonderful owl, and that background is really fabulous! Love how you did this and that you used book pages too. Hugz
How fun, Elle. That is a beautiful owl and of course, I love how you used book pages for your background. That was wise and made a great entry for your theme at AJJ.
An amazing background, and I love the owl Elle!
Hugs,
Alison
Owls are fascinating creatures and when they appear in art it’s always fun.

That’s a very wise looking owl,Elle. I love the colours of your background. Thanks for the inspiration – I’ll be getting some book paper out tomorrow. Definitely a fabulous page for your AJJ theme, hugs, Chrisx
Love the image, and the words. Being still is a big part of my world right now. ?
I love this page Elle. And the new challenge at More than Words too. That owl is gorgeous, and you might know I love owls. I wish I had the patience and stealth of an owl. And nice book paper additions too. I hope you’re having a lovely weekend. hugs-Erika
