Happy New Month!
As it is the very first day of the month, I am excited to share my DT inspiration project for April at More Than Words with you.
This month’s challenge was a fun one for me as I love using coffee and tea elements on my pages. For this page I actually used some paper made from coffee bean husks and then sprayed more coffee over the top using a spray bottle. I have also been doing a lot of gel printing for the Gelli Arts March printing challenge so I was able to use some of my prints on the page to create this little cluster for Alice and the White Rabbit to perch on. The blue Tea Party paper is also a gel print as is the whole of the facing page – a transparent deli paper gel print! Also on the page are some darker splatters of Just Walnut infusions, stabilo all edgings, gold pen and another leftover piece of blue sari silk down the right hand side.
I am also linking this page to the new theme over on Art Journal Journey which is Geometric Forms hosted by Valerie. (A geometric shape is any structure, open or closed, having a definite shape and properties made up of lines, curves, and points. Some of the known geometric shapes are square, rectangle, circle, cone, cylinder, sphere, etc. All these shapes have some properties that make them unique and different from the other shapes.) So on my page you can find squares, lines, ovals, circles and I am thinking that some of the numbers on the background might also qualify as they are defined shapes made up of lines and curves – you decide.
I hope you can join us this month. Let me know what you think in the comments below. As always, thanks for reading and Happy Journalling!Ingredients

Art Journal Journey – April theme Geometric Forms – squares, lines, ovals, circles and possibly some of the numbers
This is a winner with me on many accounts. I love Alice themed anything to start with and I love the colour blue although I always say I do not have a favourite colour. Saying that there are lots of blue things in myk wardrobe, along with grey.
I enjoyed listening to all the things you used to make up this page which sounds quite textural to me. You certainly have ore patience than I do with a Gelli Plate. I really want a day to play with one and change my mind about them.
Hope the leg is on the mend.
Hugs, Neet xx
This is a wonderful theme and a gorgeous spread. I am in love with that coffee bean husk paper you used. I like how you tied it to Alice in Wonderland. This is a great entry for Valerie’s theme at AJJ. I hope you will also join us for T Tuesday. It’s a perfect spread for it.
Hi Elle, love your piece, definitely lots of geo shapes there! Hugs, Valerie
I love this Elle! The colours are lovely and with all those Geometric shapes it’s perfect for Valerie’s AJJ theme, hugs, Chrisx
Oh I like this Elle. I haven’t ever seen coffee husk paper, but tea and coffee dyeing is very cool and fun to do. The blue works so well with this brown too. thanks for joining Valerie’s challenge, and happy April to you! hugs-Erika
