CARE December Day 2 – Romance AND Day 3 – Rose Quartz
AND Tag Tuesday – Use Letters of the Alphabet
This year Care December is the Pink edition, and all the prompts are related to that colour. These are my pages for day 2 and day 3. I went literal with the rose quartz prompt and for the romance prompt, I made a tag for my page using some tissue paper packaging. I had no ideas for the page until I found the packaging LOL. There are two printed tags forming the base of my page with more pink paint and white splatters, and then the tag on top.
Here’s a look at my tag, which is removable from my page. The tag is designed with Tag Tuesday’s “Use letters of the alphabet” challenge. All challenge links are are the end of the post. The tag is made from the packaging from some tissue paper, it has a lovely damask pattern that matches the tissue paper that was inside. I used a free digital image slipped inside the packet and displayed inside the window that used to display the tissue paper. I painted over the section at the bottom where there was a lot of writing, and then stamped LOVE on top using some Stazon on the shiny packaging. I then stamped more of the LOVE letters randomly over the tag, and then added some small lace cherry blossom flowers and a piece of pink tweed fabric tied at the top of my tag.

This page was created for two Instagram challenges and also Art Journal Journey as per the heading above the photo. It looks a lot duller in this photo than it actually is but I am suffering from lack of good daylight at the moment, so it looks very grey despite a lot of editing! Here I am below trying a different angle desperately trying to catch some light and some of the gold splatter.
So for Sharon’s theme of Snow on Art Journal Journey, we have a forest of snowy trees and snowy pine cones and for Super Challenge de l’advent “winter scents” prompt we have the scents of pine cones, and for Art Journal Advent’s “discover” prompt I invite you to discover the forest in winter and perhaps go for a lovely snowy walk in it.

So much to see, and all of it good. I do like the pink pages – the love tag suits the young lady perfectly and your winter scene is gorgeous. I love the trees in the forest that looks so stark and wintry and the words are perfect to show with them and the cones.

I’m glad to see you back making some art Elle because it’s always fun to see your creations. I really love the romance page, and funny, I made a tag for Tag Tuesday today and I think we are using the same alphabet. Grin. I guess we were thinking the same thing at least as far as letters go.
