Hi Friends!
How about this – I have another page to share today for Erika’s theme of Home Sweet Home. I do not know why I am so obsessed with birds this month but they seem to be popping up a lot this month. Spring must be truly in the air!
Today’s art . . .
This is the same little junk journal that I mentioned in my previous post. The base is a printable by @49Dragonflies called Boho Birds. I really liked this one with the little birdhouse which of course can hardly be seen at all in the above photo lol. Don’t worry, it will be more visible in the next photo. All these birds seem to look very interested in this prime piece of real estate and are all eyeing it up while the little bird in front looks a little worried – or maybe he is the agent getting ready to sell!
OK so there’s a lot going on here lol. This page is made from the A4 sized printable folded in half to give me two A5 pages or one double spread. However, you can only see the left side of the paper at the moment because I decided to add a tip-in so I could add more STUFF to the page. On the left hand side we have the birdie and his little house. This is for Erika’s theme of Home Sweet Home on Art Journal Journey in mind. To that side of the page I added some stamping from an old Carabelle art journal stamp in two different blue Versafine Claire inks (the numbers, squiggles and stars). Then I used some ephemera from the printables to make the little pocket and tuck spot at the top, and added some Pukka tea elements, a stamp, a homemade sticker, some gel print pieces etc. There are also some Tim Holtz clipping stickers, some asemic writing in gold, and some black splatters on the page. On top of that I also added some of my homemade cellotape using sellotape and alcohol inks. If you haven’t done this, do try, it’s a lot of fun! Here’s a look at the page with all the ephemera and tags removed.
I tried to take photos to show both sides of the tip-in so you can tell it apart from the rest of the page. This kind of thing is easier to see in a video but I didn’t do one this time. Maybe a flip-through when the journal is full.
And finally here is the right hand side of the page…
More pockets and ephemera, more random stamping, more gold writing and more cellotape.
Let me know what you think in the comments below. As always, thanks for reading and Happy journalling!Ingredients

I like how this is a 2 spread piece. And that’s an American bluebird in front of the little house, and you are right, everyone is eyeing him. I really like the pockets and the tags too. They make a super details on the page., and you also have some other fun things to look at too. Thank you again for joining AJJ. It’s always appreciated. Just an FYI, I’m on book 3 of the Ari Thor Ragnar Jonasson Dark Iceland series. I’ve also read one of his other stand alone books. And have a super weekend ahead too. hugs-Erika
