Hi Friends!
Today I’m happy to share my take on this week’s More Than Words Challenge. As per my previous post, there are four Weekly challenges this month, all held on Instagram, with daily inspiration. If you are on Instagram, this is my day to share my DT project for this week. As I am a blogger, I am sharing it on my blog too.
Artstacks is sponsoring the challenges again and there is also a free ArtStacks printable available to download for each challenge. Here’s a look at the Week 3 challenge which started on the 18th and ends on the 24th.
Today’s Art
I loved everything about this week’s prompts – book paper (yes please), folding (origami hello!) and story – well goes without saying!
I took many many photos on my phone while I was trying to work out the layout. I also tried it on different pages in my junk journal, none of which seemed right, before settling on the page you see above. I used a book page from a large book so that when I ripped it, it would be big enough to stretch diagonally across the page. Then I made some of these little origami book corners and played around with the arrangement. I was quite keen on the one below on the left, as a design, but it wasn’t very practical as a pocket!
In the end, I went with something very similar to the one on the above right, just a more compact version!
I used the quote from this week’s free printable, and then since I had fussy cut all the other quotes, I used them too by popping them into the top pocket, to keep for later. Here’s a closer look at the finished page, there is a lot of acrylic ink and neocolours along the top and bottom of the page as well as some white and gold paint splatters across the middle and on the gel print layer.
Instructions on how to enter the challenge are given above. Each Friday in April, the weekly challenge will be revealed on Instagram, there will be a Guest Designer each week and then daily inspiration from the Design Team. Two winners will be randomly chosen for each challenge.
I hope you find the new challenges interesting and that you can join us if you are on Instagram.
Let me know what you think in the comments below. As always, thanks for reading and Happy Journalling!Ingredients

I’m loving the pretty blue color and those paper bowls. They really steal the show Elle. hugs-Erika
These are all amazing. I love each of these and I love the quotes/sentiments, too. I also love the colors you chose.
Wow Elle this is brilliant. So beautiful. I love the sayings too.
