Hi Friends!
Hope you are all doing well. Well the last day that I seem to have been online was the 9th of May, and that’s because our weather has continued to be (unusually) absolutely beautiful, sunny and DRY! I know that’s probably quite normal for a lot of people but not for us, so I have been spending as much time outside as possible to get my Vitamin D levels up and enjoy the warm sunshine. After her 3+4 month period as an indoor kitty (after her injury) Miss P wanted back out to the garden again. It was good to see her enjoying the weather.
One of her neighbourhood boyfriends was also hanging out with me while I drank my coffee (decaf) in the garden.
Today’s art . . .
MM EXPO Day 9 – Heather McMahon
Heather’s lesson was all about making a gorgeous wall hanging using paper weaving and the free ArtStacks printable from the Expo. The free printable includes images designed by Brigit Koopsen, Tamara Laporte and Tracy Verdugo. Here’s a photo of my wall hanging. I made mine a little different by using eyelets and extra beads and paper feathers. I also extended the rays from the sun onto the watercoloured piece below. The sticks came from my garden. My wall hanging is also double sided since I used double sided paper so I thought I may as well print on both sides. I have it hanging up on the glass door in the hall at the moment.
Since I had some extra images printed I also made a journal page in my concertina book, also made as part of the Expo. I used the little bird (Tamara Laporte) and the feathers (Birgit Koopsen) to add to my already painted background.
With this little bird, I am linking up with Neet’s theme of It Must Have Wings.
My desk calendar shows that this was taken on the 13th, yup that sounds about right. The lure of sunny weather has been too much for me to want to sit down inside, in front of a computer. Why sit at a computer, when I can enjoy watching this view from the garden…. a happy Miss P, rolling around in the grass next to the pond. Yes my garden is an overgrown jungle because I still can’t take care of it myself.
Let me know what you think in the comments below. As always, thanks for reading and Happy journalling!Ingredients

Art Journal Journey – It Must Have Wings
I think I really enjoyed hearing about your days in the sun with Miss P making the most of her time out there and her visiting boyfriend – that’s what sunny days are for.
Also loved your wall hanging, how fun is that and i see it has a delightful bird on it with wings so that would have qualified for my challenge at AJJ but you went the extra mile. Love the bright background to the pages you did in your journal and the quote is simply fabulous and works so well in your background.
Hugs, Neet xx
This is a beautiful, imaginative book, Pagen. Sweet with your cat photos!!!
Have a lovely rest of May!
Hugs Elke ( Lebensglück)
Hurrah for your nice weather. Don’t come to New Hampshire right now or you’ll be back into the terible weather. This week it has been grey, very cold and wet. In fact yesterday was the coldest high temperature ever recorded in my state in May. Brrr. Perhaps your cold and wet has come my way-grin. That is a gorgeous wall hanging. Nice work. Are those real painted feathers or paper feathers at the bottom? And you also shared a beautiful page for Neet’s challenge at AJJ. Thank you. I hope your nice weather continues and you have a wonderful weekend. hugs-Erika
