I decided to make a couple of Hello Friend cards for no reason other than I love my friends and wanted to send them something.  I had this idea for a pop-up card in my head, and I wanted to use these two cat stamp sets by Laurel Burch.

The first is called Tribal Cats, and the second is called Indigo Cats and I only have the stamp and not the dies for this set, so I see a lot of fussy cutting in my near future lol

I love these cats, and I actually have a couple of them in their ceramic form!

So I spent some time colouring them all in with some markers and had fun doing it too.

Then after I was done with the colouring, I started adding little highlights and dimension with nuvo drops, stickles and glossy accents.

Then came the somewhat arduous task of fussy cutting them and I really wished I had the dies for them.  I don’t usually mind but my hand has been giving me a lot of problems lately so it did not like this task at all.

Then I used the second stamp set, Tribal Cats by Laurel Burch – I love their long faces!  I stamped them with some Versamark ink and then heat embossed them with gold and cream embossing powder.

Good news!  I have the die set for this one – yay!
