So you might remember this little alcohol ink tester from my Simon Says Stamp card kit post the other day, which I started just to see how the colours looked together as yellow and orange are not usually my go-to colours.

I had two cards that I needed to make – one for a happy family occasion (anniversary) and one for a very sad family occasion (sympathy card) and so I decided to use the Alcohol Lift Ink and Alcohol Inks from the kit to make both cards.

As you can see, I worked on the alcohol ink background a bit more since the first photo, adding more Stream and blending them together – with the Sunshine Yellow, it makes some lovely greens.  Then I used the stamp from the kit to stamp it with the Lift ink.

Then I took the lifted off ink that is still on the stamp and used it to stamp down on some white cardstock.

So that gives me two backgrounds to use for my cards – two for one.

Then I did a very light wash of blue from the Altenew Watercolor 36 Pan Set over the top of the white cardstock and lifted Alcohol ink.

I used the With Sympathy sentiment from the Sketched Flowers stamp set, then attached the card front to a 5 x 7 kraft card base with matching envelope.

For the anniversary card, I cut the alcohol ink background down to size, then I used some double sided tape to edge the card and then rubbed some of the foil from the card kit on to it to give it a slightly distressed shiny edge.
