Still stressed out about hospital visits this week, I decided to attempt to take my mind off it by making a start on a get well soon card.

I decided to use this stamp set that I’ve had for a wee while but not used yet – The Cat’s Meow by Mama Elephant.

I wanted to make the clowder of cats bigger than the stamp is, by masking and stamping another layer of cats on top of the first.  I stamped them on some masking paper and then cut around it as I don’t actually have the matching dies for this set.  Then I stamped them on the card, covered the first stamping with the mask, and stamped again further up and slightly offset.  If you look at the cat with the moustache and monocle, you can see where the repeat starts.

I started colouring them in with Copic Markers

I don’t know why but all my cats are shades of orange and grey lol.

As I don’t have the dies, I just cut very carefully around the top row of cats and it was easy enough to do but at some point I will pick up the die set just to make it easier on my poor hand.

I highlighted the small accessories like the hearts, crowns, coffee, and monocles with some nuvo drops and left it to dry.  So here it is ready to be added to a card… but two things, 1. I ran out of time and had to go back to the hospital for visiting time and 2. I kinda lost my train of thought and can’t remember where I was going with this card!  And that’s all I have time for today as I need to get back to the hospital and I have yet another WIP!

Here’s what was used FYI
