As per this post and this post, I am having a crafty long weekend.
After playing around with the Dahlia stencils, I just did a quick bit of heat embossing before dinner. There’s a reason for it but I’ll get back to that later.
Firstly I used the Pinstripe background stamp from Altenew and stamped it with Versamark and silver embossing powder on some Wild Wisteria cardstock by Gina K. I use cornflour and a big makeup brush to dust the cardstock before stamping. This helps prevent the embossing powder sticking to places that you don’t want it sticking.
Then since I had a bit of time, I die-cut some larger Altenew word dies from white cardstock, and then stamped them with Versamark and covered them with embossing powder.
This big Hello is the Mega Hello die that I bought last year and absolutely love. The smaller words are from the Scripty Words 2 set.
I love embossing diecuts, especially alphabets, they just look so smart and cool. I repeated the process twice more so that they had three layers of embossing powder on them making them thicker and more substantial, and very shiny.
I haven’t decided what I am going to use them for yet, perhaps I will put them together like this or perhaps not.
Then just before I stopped for dinner, I quickly did these pieces using the Sweetest Pea stamp set from Altenew – one in white and one in a pale lilac embossing powder.
This is a weekend of crafty playing with no real plan in mind, so I don’t have to make any decsions atm.
