As I mentioned in the previous post, I decided to make some cards for the MFT annual Card Design Superstar contest. There are three categories, CAS Genius, Coloring Virtuoso, Innovation Master and this is my entry for the CAS Genius category.

The Finished Card

I don’t make CAS cards that often and I was amazed at how quickly this came together (especially since I spent most of the day working out the mechanics of this card lol) but here it is, and I really like it – it’s so cute.  Two little rescue kitties that are saying thanks to the person who adopted them – aww, sweet babies!

Card details…

I decided to use this stitched edge die from the Stitched Basic Edges 2 die set because the shape always reminds me of a perspective room view like if you were looking at a room design layout at IKEA so I cut from white cardstock since this is a CAS card and requires white space, so this will be my white space.  Originally I planned to just stamp the kitties on a totally white card with a little blue ink blending behind them but I like this idea better.  I did some ink blending on some watercolour paper with Tumbled Glass Distress Ink as I like the texture, then stamped and coloured the kitties with polychromos, and fussy cut them.  I stamped the sentiment on the die cut panel, and then all that was left to do was assemble the pieces on to the card base!  Probably one of the quickest cards I’ve ever made lol.  Memo to self:  make more of these!
