Hello friends, and Happy Saturday!
Really hope you have a great weekend and some time for creative fun. I was at the vet this morning for the fourth day running and it really wasn’t what I wanted to be doing today, but now Mr G has special food which I really hope he will eat, and then we will have some fun times administering some medications! To take my mind off all of that, I decided to look at the Life Book Taster Sessions and do something that I didn’t have to think too hard about, since someone else was telling me what to do. I managed to complete two of the classes today and watched about three or four of them while I was getting on with the doing part. BTW you can watch the free classes on the Willowing website, not just on Facebook, which I’d rather do! Oh and if you want to see what other lesson I did today, here it is – Love Art Notes.
This was Eulalia’s lesson from Day 2:
I started off gathering up a lot of gel prints that I have been trying to use up. Gel prints were not a requirement btw, you just needed some colourful papers. I also had a pot of tea on the go and I was on my second cup at this point.
That turned into this… there is a lot of pink in this page, which is weird when I am thinking about October, but I think it must be coming from the fact that I still have Dahlias in flower and they are all pink.
And then that turned into this… which is where I stopped paying attention and veered off in my own direction. Autumn leaves were not part of the class lol, but I was just thinking about the maple tree in the garden and how much it is getting battered about by wind today, and how it will soon lose its leaves before they even get a chance to turn red!
The quote is one of my favourites from Anne of Green Gables and I do tend to use it often because it’s so perfect.
Tracey from Hotchpotchcreations is hosting the challenge this month on AJJ, where the theme is My favourite colour is October, so I am sharing this page there and also on County View Challenges where the theme is Autumnal Colours or Halloween.
Let me know what you think in the comments. As always, thanks for reading!Ingredients

Its a lovely quote you added to this wonderful page. I love the colours and the pink shades
October does share the most amazing colours with us. Thank you for linking with us at AJJ.
Have a good week.

I love how you treated the leaves and heart. I’ve seen the taster page, but haven’t watched the video yet. I especially like the leaves. This is a wonderful entry for Tracey’s theme at Art Journal Journey dear.
Lovely black contrast against the collage heart, the doodles finish it off so nicely. I’m definitely glad I live in a world with Octobers… Thanks again for joining me @ AJJ.

Hope the new food does the job for your kitty.
A lovely page Elle, great colours. I have yet to start the taster lesson, just not in the mood at the moment.
This looks like fun Elle! I don’t think I should try to fit anything else in at the moment – we have some Wanderlust Classe to catch up still! I love the quote – even though we are in October there are still some lovely colours around (and today – intermittent blue skies) I love your vibrant colours against the black along with the white. Thanks for another lovely page for Tracey’s ‘My favourite Colour is Autumn’ theme at AJJ. Hugs, Chrisx
Those colorful leaves are beautiful Elle. They do pop off the black background. This such a lovely page for Tracey’s challenge. Thanks so much for sharing with us. I love how you made the background! Hope you’re having a great weekend. Hugs-Erika
Such a beautiful autumnal work of art! It’s great how you made it on the black.
Have a happy day , hug , Elke
