Hi Friends,

Hope your week is going well.  Today I am sharing a double page spread based on today’s daily prompt.

Today’s Art . . .

Today’s art is a page using my Day 20 prompt:  Enchantment

I started off this page by covering the whole thing with a piece of scrapbook paper that was covered in a dense, dark floral pattern and was leftover from something else.

After that, I found yet another image from this same magazine I discovered in a pile of old mags.  I loved how the woman was reclining on this green chaise, so I fussy cut around it and glued it on top of the scrapbook paper.

When all that was dry, I doodled all over the page with a swirly vine pattern which I thought fit in with the background paper, like maybe the enchantment is causing it to spread over the page and the woman on the sofa.  Then I wrote the quote on with a white pen.
Maybe she has been sleeping here for 100 years like sleeping beauty and just woke up, or maybe her enchanted sleep is just about to start.

Hope you feel inspired to join in the challenge this month and have fun with it!

Let me know what you think in the comments.   As always, thanks for reading!

Daily Prompts

Here are the prompts I will be using and you can probably tell that a lot of them are related to fairytales, but you don’t have to use them that way or you don’t have to use them at all.  I will be attempting all 31 days but I may not make it and that’s OK too.  The prompts are there if you feel stuck or in need of extra inspiration.   I just respond well to a daily prompt and I will also be sharing my pages on Instagram.  If you share your work on Instagram there is a hashtag.  Please note, that to enter the Art Journal Journey challenge using the Mr Linky tool, you will have to link from a blog since it is a blog challenge.

Or you can ignore the daily prompts completely and focus on the overarching theme for the month.  The daily prompts are there if you want to make more pages but need some extra prompting.

I am playing catch up here, so bare with me, please. I don’t know how I get so far behind, but i can’t seem t catch uo this month since being on jury duty.

This lady looks enchanted. I love that you used a magazine image to go with the great background you created. Thanks for sharing this with us at AJJ using your theme, dear.

She came out wonderfully!
She also reminds of a scrapbook my Dad made when Mum and I were still in hospital after I was born.
A beautiful blonde woman in a blue dress, lazing on “the floor”, you can see it here.
Haha, didn´t happen, LOL

A lovely rich page Elle. Love the sumptuous green background and the addition of the gold scrolls you did really give it that oomph that goes so well with “enchanted”. She is the perfect lady for that chaise long.
Hugs, Neet xx

She does look like she could be enchanted. I really like how you pulled the whole page together with the gold pen. It works as she looks so elegant on the chaise in that blue gown. This is another wonderful page Elle. Hope you’re having a nice Thursday. hugs-Erika
