Hi Friends!
Hope you are having a great day. I have another page to share today and this time it is for week 2 of the #seekgathercreate challenge which ends today – week 3 starts on Sunday.
Today’s Art . . .
Today’s art is this page for #seekgathercreate…
I have a small pink button stitched on to a red-violet suede, and a handfelted pink heart. The red mesh tied around the diecut flowers is the packaging for the red onions I bought recently (knew that would come in handy for something!) Various shades of pink, mauve and lilac hearts are painted on the background.
Due to all the shades of pink and red-violet I am also linking this page to Erika’s theme over on Art Journal Journey this month, where the theme is Seeing Red. It also fits with a few other blog challenges which I am linking to below.
Let me know what you think in the comments. As always, thanks for reading!
Ingredients
watercolour paper, neocolour ii pastels, glue, thread, acrylic ink, book paper, Tim Holtz foliage die, onion mesh, handmade green paper, suede, felt, grosgrain ribbon, washi tape, poscas,

Sounds like a super challenge with it’s prompts. love the idea of finding different objects to create with each week. Makes for a great mixed media journal page. Love the felt hearts with its sewn tummy button.
Thanks so much for sharing @ Creative Artiste and again for being our Guest Designer this month.
Happy creative Tracey x
This is fab, I love the hearts! Thanks so much for joining in with us at Country View Crafts and have a very happy weekend, Sue xx
A gorgeous journal page Elle. Fabulous textures, lovely contrasting colours and wonderful drippy artwork.
Thank you for joining in with our February challenge “Anything Mixed Media Goes” at Creative Artiste Mixed Media. Good luck x
I was SURE I had left a comment. What impressed me was the felted heart. The way you added the mesh was brilliant. Thanks also for another great entry using Erika’s theme at Art Journal Journey.
I love the drips, colors and felt. The layered fabric and felt and the button gives your piece some nice texture. Nice page Elle. Thanks for linking up to AJJ again this month. As I’ve said before, it’s appreciated. hugs-Erika
