Hi Friends!
Happy Wednesday! We were off to a rocky start this morning with a trip to the vet for Miss Lily and I have been monitoring her all day to make sure she responds to the treatment. Meanwhile, I have this page to share with you today…
Today’s Art . . .
Today’s art is another page for my theme on Art Journal Journey for this month – Books, Cats and Tea, which are three of my very favourite things. Here comes a cat page…
This page uses a very large tag that I made back in May 2020 for a challenge, but has spent some time sitting in a box like the other cards I am sharing this week. The tag was made from an amazon box, covered with some gelli prints and then the cat stamped on top. The quote is a Tim Holtz sticker and the LOL was made by diecutting some large letters and then heat embossing them in black.
Before I could add it to my page, I first painted the page using a few different colours of Gouache paint to help it blend in with the tag. Then I added some black and white baker’s twine to the top of the tag just to finish it off and add more interest. This is the first page in my current journal and I am quite excited to finish it as there are only a few pages left and then it will be complete!
Let me know what you think in the comments. As always, thanks for reading and Happy Journalling!

Art Journal Journey – Books, Cats and Tea
I love this cat art, Elle. Have a wonderful day today.
I hope Miss Lily is doing OK. I know how worrisome it is when one of our loved ones is sick.
I like how you recycled that tag. I am finding things I didn’t realize I had, and putting them to good use in my Cats AB, too. It’s always fun to be able to find new ways to recycle something old. Thanks for this fun new entry you have created using your theme at AJJ, dear.
I like that kitty stamp and using your tag on your journal page is a great idea. And you really matched the tag’s colors with your background. It came together nicely. And I’m glad you fixed it so my comment doesn’t get cut off. What I wanted to finish saying was I hope you had a happy T day. 🙂 Thanks for fixing the word limit. hugs-Erika
I love the tag and that gorgeous gouache background Elle.
