Hi Friends!
Happy Tuesday! Hope your week is going well! Nothing much has changed here, I am well into the Halloween making and decoration mode. It is also colder so we are spending a lot of time in front of the fire, where I inevitably fall asleep and then nothing much gets done that was planned for the evening lol. I awaken to the smell of apples baking on top of the stove though so that’s nice. If you missed my previous posts, here’s another look at my maple tree. This was taken last week and now, thanks to all the stormy weather, it has lost nearly all of its leaves. They are lying like a red carpet across the grass.
Today’s art . . .
Today I am sharing a set of Halloween Collage cards I made – these are all off to overseas destinations so they have a chance to get there in time. I haven’t posted the UK cards yet though that might have been a mistake as I can’t get to a post office/postbox on my own due to still being on CRUTCHES so I have to wait for someone to visit so I can get them to post stuff for me.
I am sharing with Simon Says Stamp Monday challenge where their theme is “Spooky/Add Some Purple” these cards are spooky but I didn’t add any purple. I am also sharing with Creative Artiste Mixed Media Challenge #109 and Try it on Tuesday’s Halloween challenge.
There are seven cards in total. Above is a look at them all together, and then following are separate photos of each card as they are all slightly different, and then what they look like inside and then a look at the envelopes. I used Tim Holtz Idea-ology collage strips which are designed to be used as is – in strips – but I cut mine up so I could use the pieces I wanted and mix them with the Sparkle Plaid cardstock. I used black glitter cardstock to cut various Sizzix Halloween dies, and then I used Distress crayons to grunge them up a bit.
The cards are 5 x 7 inches and made from kraft cardstock. I do love a bit of collage, so it was so much fun piecing all of these pieces together and deciding where I wanted everything to go.
Once all the collage was dry and I had grunged it up with Distress crayons and inks, it was time to do all the die cutting and work out where to put all of those. I didn’t have an exact plan, I just pulled out some of my favourites and some black glitter cardstock, and did some die cutting until I thought I had enough pieces.
Every card is different but since they all use the same products, same colours etc they do look like they are part of a set. Oh one other thing I added was the little black masks on some of the faces. These are from a TH sticker book. You can see one on the above right card and there is also one on the first card.
The card insides and the envelopes are all stamped with Stampers Anonymous Halloween stamps from various sets. List of Sizzix dies and SA stamps are at the end of the post FYI.
Gosh, that’s a lot of Tim Holtz brands, lol, the only thing missing is the fabric, but don’t worry, some fabric projects will be coming up soon if I can stop napping in front of the stove that is!
I am also joining in with the Tea Ladies today, so above is a photo of some Halloween tea I had. What makes it Halloween tea? It has little sugar pumpkins and bats in it and some Autumnal flavours.
Let me know what you think in the comments below. As always, thanks for reading and Happy Arting!Ingredients

A fantastic array of creepy cards Elle. Each one unique with their layout of vintage photos, papers and die cuts. The insides are brilliant with the spooky text and stamps too.

So sorry to read you are still on crutches. I hope that will end soon.
I am in love with your collage cards. They are fantastic. You are certainly giving TH a lot of business (grin). I even love what you did on the inside.
What fun tea. Loved seeing the pumpkins and the bats in the Witches Brew. Thanks for sharing your cards and your tea with us for T this Tuesday, dear Elle.
I’m sorry to hear you are still on crutches. But good that you have friends that will post stuff for you.
I love your cards (even though I’m not keen on Halloween). The little mask is a good addition.
Halloween tea? Who would have thought….
Booo!
Happy T-Day,
Lisca
I love all of your cards, such fun! Sorry you still have problems with your foot, take care and get well soon, hugs, Valerie
Those cards are amazing Elle. You have been very productive. Is that cat face on some of them a die cut? It’s super retro and cool. And I love that you have Halloween tea. I haven’t seen that. before, but it looks like lots fun to drink..Have a super T day Elle, or at least what’s left to yours, and happy week ahead too. hugs-Erika
