Hi Friends!
Hope your weekend is going well. Our clocks changed last night and I completely forgot about it – like it wasn’t even on my radar lol Mild confusion this morning as all of the analog clocks were an hour fast haha.
Today’s art . . .
Today I have a different take on a Halloween page, and I am sharing it with a few challenges in mind. I am joining Alison/Craftytrog with her theme of “Autumn Colours and Inspiration“ on Art Journal Journey. I am also sharing with Try it on Tuesday’s Halloween challenge and Simon Says Stamp’s Monday Challenge for their Spooky/add purple challenge. All links at the bottom of the post.
I wanted to use this great toad colorize die from Sizzix as I had found a couple of alcohol-inked backgrounds in my stash that reminded me of mottled frog/toad skin. I cut a few different options so I could try them out to see which one I liked best, before choosing the greens and orange combo.
I also cut and coloured a few of the toadstools that come in that die set, and I had a lot of already cut and coloured leaves to play with. This purple background is from my stash of gel prints and I thought it might make an interesting spooky Halloween sky.
“Myron” is sitting on a couple of wood slices nestled in a bed of leaves.
I used these Halloween clipping stickers which seemed appropriate – how cool to find one about purple light, perfect for my sky!
I used the cello stickers on the sides and splattered the mica stain and let it run down the page.
Let me know what you think in the comments below. As always, thanks for reading and Happy Journalling!Ingredients

I absolutely love this wonderful toad Elle. Those alcohol ink backgrounds worked so well for his mottled skin. It’s just a fabulous page altogether.
Thanks for joining my challenge at AJJ.

A fantastic Halloween page Elle, the layered images created a fantastic scene. Thank you for linking with us at Try it on Tuesdays.

Oh I like Myron. He must be thinking of hibernating at this point, Perhaps that’s what’s he contemplating with that expression on his face, as if he’s not sure he should be outside. This is definitely great for fall and Halloween, so thanks for joining both Alison’s AJJ challenge at our TIOT challenge. Hope you had a great weekend and have gotten over your clock confusion. And thank you for the card. I need to get that photographed. It arrived Saturday and I had my daughter and son-in-law here so I didn’t get a chance to thank you. hugs-Erika
Elle this is FABULOUS!!!! I love everything about it. I’m trying to get back to blogging now that Mr. M. is doing a bit better.
