Hi Friends!

Happy Tuesday!  Hope your week is going well! I’m a little late writing this as I just got back from the hospital where I had another x-ray and told to come back at the end of the month for the results. We had to use a wheelchair to get around today as my back is still seized up and I just couldn’t walk that far today.  Then we went to the supermarket to stock up since I can’t go every week and my latest online shop had nearly half my order out of stock!  Also had a worry about Miss P on Sunday as she seemed very unwell, and I thought we would have to go back to the vet again this week but I kept her inside all of yesterday just in case, and she seems back to her normal self today.
Sunday though I had to wear heavy duty welding gauntlets to handle her as she was very, very aggressive and would have shredded me had I not been wearing the gloves, and she was growling at me like a Rottweiler and not at all like a small cat!  Hard to believe isn’t it, that this little cutie can be such a beast but it’s true!

Today’s art . . .

Today I am sharing three pages for Wendy’s theme of On, In or By the Sea over on Art Journal Journey.  I was thinking about what to do this month – getting so close the busy time of the year – and what to do to make life easier, and I decided to paint a whole lot of watercolour backgrounds to use in my pages this month.  But then I saw that @megjournals had a November daily challenge on Instagram, and the challenge is for a no-sew journal. #NoSewNovember.

Nearly every journal I make these days is a no-sew journal so I decided to join in with that and combine it as much as possible with Wendy’s theme, so a lot of the pages in this journal will work for both (hopefully) and I’ll be using as many of the watercolour backgrounds as I can.

I made a 32 page accordion journal using all of these amazon bags.  I’ve been saving them up when ever I get one so it was good to put quite a few of them to use.  The pages are connected using kraft coloured masking tape.  Here’s a closer look at the three pages…

Day 1 – connect
Watercolour background, lots of gold paint and gold pen used to draw lines, dots and circles on the page, Jane Davenport Mermaid rub-on and Mermaid marker splatters in Milky Way, washi tapes, TH clipping sticker and cello stickers.  These Cello stickers are designed to look like old yellowed sellotape, part of me thinks surely I can find some old yellowed sellotape somewhere in my house and part of me just can’t stop adding them to pages lol.

Day 2 – flow
Watercolour background, lots of gold paint and gold pen used to draw lines, dots and circles on the page, Jane Davenport Mermaid tail rub-on and Mermaid marker splatters in Milky Way, washi tapes, TH clipping sticker and cello stickers,

Day 3 – merge
Watercolour background, lots of gold paint and gold pen used to draw lines, dots and circles on the page, Jane Davenport Mermaid marker splatters in Milky Way, washi tapes, TH clipping sticker and cello stickers,

As I mentioned at the top of the post, I’ve just been grocery shopping so I am also joining the Tea Ladies today, with a photo from my fridge of lots of “drinks” – Cold Brew Caramel Latte with oat milk and Mocha Cold Brew with almond milk.  These are not decaf so I have to take it easy on them as I can’t handle too much caffeine but they are really delicious, and yes sometimes I heat them up if I’m cold!  The other two items are the Covent Garden brand of soup, people also drink soup right?  Both these flavours are delicious and vegan.  The mushroom soup is really delicious and handy to keep in the fridge or freezer all year, and the Pumpkin Spice is a new “Limited edition” soup for the season flavoured with butternut pumpkin, red lentils, coconut milk and spices.

Let me know what you think in the comments below.   As always, thanks for reading and Happy journalling!Ingredients

I hope Mrs. P is much better now, it must have been worrying! Butter wouldn’t melt, who knew that she was a beastie ?. Loving you beautiful artwork and the pumpkin spice soup sounds delicious. Sorry for my lateness, Happy T Day wishes ??. Hugs, Jo x

Interesting that Miss P got aggressive. As far as your art it is amazing. I love how you put it all together.

I can’t imagine adorable Miss P turning feral. I enjoyed your explanation of the journal. So cool that you can use it for both challenges. I hope you and Miss P are feeling better. Happy T Day.

I was surprised to learn that your little Miss P can be so aggressive. Is she always like that or was it due to her not being well? When I had Tabs she could be a minx when I tried to cut clumps of her hair off where it had tangled under her tummy but in the main she was gentle with me. Not so the vet!
Sorry you are still suffering and even though it seemed a long time for you to get the results it reminded me that I too had a long wait for thyroid blood test and chest x ray (not got them until next week). Just wish the two of us could get back to normal, as what normal is for us LOL.
Love the pages in your new journal. The colours are beautiful. That turquoise colour, the palest one, is just out of this world and I wondered who the watercolours are that you use. I recognise the face of the mermaid – is it from Jane (whatsername)?
Take care and hope it’s better news soon.
Hugs, Neet xx

It seems like a long time to wait for results, but I hope they are good! I love those pages you made. Your watercolor pattern is amazing. It feels like the ocean and yet so artistic too. They are perfect for Wendy’s challenge at AJJ.. Thanks for joining us. And it must be nice to have a full fridge too, especially since you can’t get out easily. and perfect for T day. Hope you had a good one and no more cat attacks (grin) because no one needs to go to the vet. hugs-Erika
