I am having a crafty long weekend, as per this post and this post, and this post, and this post, It’s been a really good couple of days so far and I’ve been really enjoying crafting without an agenda.
One of the Altenew Academy classes I did last year was this one which celebrated their new watercolor pan set, so as part of my fun crafty weekend, I decided to go through that one again and play along with the lessons and just generally enjoy the experience and my crafty day.
This is turning out to be quite a watercolour weekend, and I’m really good with that as that’s what I love to do! I used the Beautiful Day stamp set and painted on some watercolour from the Altenew Watercolor 36 Pan Set in this beautiful Purple Wine colour which is a favourite, and sprayed with a little water.
Then I stamped the leaves in the same way. I really wished I had used a lighter green but since I constantly reach for the Parrot colour and use it all the time – practically in every project lol – it is running a bit low so I thought I would use one of the other greens. This does look more like the colour of rose leaves but I do love the lime!
I’m doing two at the same time, because it’s just as easy to do two than one, plus I can experiment with another colour combination.
Then because I can’t help myself, I painted on some Parrot on the first one and made it a little messier lol.
And for now, here are the finished card fronts. I may or may not add to the second one. I have left them to dry and will decide what to do with them later, but for now, my crafty weekend continues…
