Remember this Layered Dahlia stencil background from this post from my Crafty Weekend, and the Mega Hello diecut from this post from that same weekend?

Well I finally decided what I wanted to do with it, so I put them together and added the Fabulous Friend diecut from the Concord and 9th Fabulous Phrases die set. Two of the Mega Hellos started off silver embossed in the last card but for this one I used the third diecut as a backing layer and then used the Concord and 9th Black Glitter card to cut another layer which I glued on top of the white diecut.  I repeated the process with the Fabulous Friend phrase and then I used Black Glitter embossing powder from Nuvo and Versamark ink to edge the card.  The photo above is with the embossing power before adding the heat.  I had already dusted it with cornflour, but I did have a few little strays to brush off before applying the heat with my (Mother of All) Black and Decker Heat Gun.

And here’s the finished card.  The black glitter cardstock matches the Nuvo black glitter embossing powder really well!
