Hello everyone! I’ve not been feeling that great lately for various reasons but today is my birthday and so I decided to spend it doing something creative and relaxing, so I got out my watercolours and painted this art journal page with this big imaginary flower. I don’t really know what kind of flower it is but it does remind me a little bit of an anemone, but that might just be the colours. I also did some hand lettering of this quote: NO RAIN NO FLOWERS
I took a few photos along the way, not too many, but I do like to compare the start to the finished page, so here we go…
And that’s the finished page.

This is a gorgeous Elle. I’m glad you perked up for your birthday (hope it was a very happy one) and made some art. What better way to spend a birthday during a pandemic? That flower has so many wonderful details! Thanks so much for joining us at AJJ, and I hope you feel better starting off your new year. Hugs-Erika
I wish you all the best for your birthday in retrospect and hope you feel better again. Your page is beautiful with the flower, I love it and this great font too!
It is important that it has to rain for the flower to grow.
Have a nice week, hug Elke

Happy Birthday and I hope painting the flower made you feel much better.
This is tremendous. The writing is beautiful and flowing and the flower is luscious, surrounded by all the pretty leaves. I always love process posts (and must remember to do this more often) and was fascinated to see the flower change from the third photo to the end. The yellow colouring frames it beautifully and I would not have thought of using yellow but it really works.
Thanks very much for this second lovely entry to our AJJ challenge theme.
