Hi Friends!

I have another three pages to share with you today.  I didn’t think I would get this posted today as I just got back from the hospital and yes, even after nine months, I am of course, still on crutches.  My phone reminded me today that it was a year ago today that I got my new fridge and dishwasher.  I had to look it up to check as it really does not feel like a year ago, but yes the phone knows.  This has been a funny year as I basically have felt like I’ve been in a coma or been a shut-in for most of it so I guess it really affects the passage of time when you have done basically nothing of note all year.   It’s weird.  At least I was able to post some Christmas cards today as there’s a post box in the hospital.

Today’s art . . .

Today I am sharing pages 25-27 so that would be yesterday, today, and tomorrow’s pages from this month’s journal created for #NoSewNovember Instagram challenge hosted by @megjournals.  This time I have one page to share for Wendy’s theme of On, In or By the Sea over on Art Journal Journey.  I’m sure you can guess which one it is! (That may or may not be me in the middle page lol).

Day 25 – fold

For the FOLD prompt I reused this old project from November 2019 which used to be part of a 12×12 square page.  I cut it up and saved this part to stick in my journal.  I added the three butterflies to the page, some Tim Holtz cello stickers and wrote the word FOLD on it.

(recycled 2019 project, TH cello stickers, butterfly stickers, letter stickers, glue )

Day 26 – unravel

For the UNRAVEL prompt this is what popped into my head today when I got home from the hospital, and this is exactly how I feel…and possibly how I look except for the Xmas jumper. FYI it’s 4 weeks and 8 hours till Christmas!   I pulled out some orange wool yarn from my stash to use as hair, and then drew the woman in the Christmas jumper.

(watercolour paper, orange wool yarn, pencil, black pen, white and gold gel pens, Pitt Artist pens, TH watercolour pencils  )

Day 27 – open

For tomorrow’s OPEN prompt I went with open sea and this nice quote that I found online.  The page has one of my watercolour backgrounds, then the dark sea is painted with Jane Davenport Mermaid Markers (do these things still exist?), and when it was dry, I wrote the quote with a white pen.  The mermaid tail is a JD/Spellbinders die, and I covered it in a some gold embossing powder and heat embossed it. To finish off the page, I splattered some bright blue mica stain over the page.

(watercolour background, mermaid markers, TH mica stain, mermaid tail die, embossing powder and ink, glue, )

For tea, I give you this photo, that I have shared before but not for a couple of years.  A tea tasting while cleaning out the tea cupboard some time ago.

Let me know what you think in the comments below.   As always, thanks for reading and Happy journalling!Ingredients

Thank you for joining me for T Tuesday this week. Some of you are aware I damaged my left arm and finally made a sling for it. Last Saturday I removed the sling because my arm felt better. Monday afternoon, I was headed to the basement when my sleeve caught the end of the banister and I took a tumble down all 14 steps. Yes, I once again landed on my left shoulder. It’s a good thing I didn’t throw the sling away, because it is quite handy. However, I am still in pain, but refuse to go to the ER because they will tell me to rest, as I’ve been doing and would probably issue a prescription I couldn’t afford. Thank you for understanding why I made this a universal copy and paste entry and really, really appreciate you for sharing your T post this week.

Thanks for joining Wendy’s theme at AJJ,. too. I LOVE that Bah humbug sweater!!

The “unravel” piece is my favorite, so much fun!
I’m so sorry that you’re still on crutches after nine months. I’m not sure what happened back then, but this sounds like an exceptional long time.
Happy T day!

It certainly has been a year for you to remember. My favorite page is Unravel. I’m feeling the stress, too.

A year flies, doesn’t it? Although I bet you are waiting to get back up and around and not get to a years anniversary with your knee. Sorry to read you are still on crutches. Your 3 pages are great. The lady in the middle really made me smile. That’s how my week was last week-grin. Loving your mermaid tail-it’s perfect once again for Wendy’s challenge. Thanks so much for joining in. I hope it’s warmed up a bit and you’ve had a lovely T day. . hugs-Erika
