Hello everyone,
Hope your weekend has been good. I spent another day on garden maintenance and DIY and I am covered in nettle stings for my trouble! Before I went out this morning, I started this page and I am again using some fabric from my stash. Since I haven’t been using it for sewing I thought I may as well be using it in my journals! This is another page for the Vintage theme over on Art Journal Journey and of course it is also my Day 5 post for the Blog Along with Effy, links to both at the end of the post.
I adhered the fabric to the page and left it to dry so it would be ready to work on when I came back to it later in the day.
When I came back in after working in the garden, the page was dry and so I could work on it. I used this stamp set and a piece of scrap card to stamp out some possible words to add to my page.
I started my tale on the top right of the spread…
… and continued it down the right side…
Underneath the image I used these words to tell the story, I’m afraid it took a bit of a dark turn…
I added some black paint splatter to the spread.
And also some gold splatter…
And that all resulted in this finished spread…
That’s all for today, all a bit late after a big day outside, and I can just hear it starting to rain now so I’m glad I got everything done before it started!
Let me know what you think in the comments. As always, thanks for reading!Ingredients
watercolour paper, my usual journal, fabric, matte medium, black pencil, Tim Holtz stamp, scrap white card, Stazon ink, black fluid acrylic, gold paint pen

The idea is to blog every day if you can, but also to comment on other people’s blogs to keep the conversation going. There is a facebook group where you can link your posts and find other people’s to go visit and comment.

Another fabulous page for my theme on Art Journal Journey. Love all the different elements and the colours you have used. Thank you for sharing with us on Art Journal Journey.
I’m blown away. I love it when others also use fabric in their journal pages, and this made me very, very happy. It is a fabulous spread with so much extra. Thanks beyond belief for sharing this with us at Art Journal Journey using Wendy’s theme.
A stunning page Elle, you used amazing materials, images and detail to create it.
Perfect inspiration for Wendy’s Vintage theme at AJJ, thank you for linking with us all.

What is really eye catching Elle is how you cut off the top part of the picture on the page. That was a smart way to add it. I also like how you stamped the entire sheet of quotes and cut out from them. Anyhow, it ended up being a gorgeous page, and perfect for Wendy’s vintage theme. Thanks so much for sharing another page with us at AJJ. Happy new week too. Hugs-Erika
