Hello friends,
More art journaling this morning after some unpleasant cat issues and a litter box, nuff said. Mr G is not reacting well to the medications and I am trying to remain calm and in control of the situation. I suppose black cats are really on my mind at the moment and so I ended up with this page today.
I started off with this leaf printed gel print that I made two years ago and didn’t know what to do with it after it was done. I knew I didn’t want to tear it up – not everything is collage fodder – so it sat in a box of gel prints for a while. Last night I decided to stick the whole page on top of my journal page and left it to dry overnight. The print is A4 size and my journal pages are 9.5 x 12.5 inches so there was a border left around the edges.
When I looked at it this morning, I decided to fill in the blank whiteness with black cats. Here is also my offering for T Day, my morning tea in a very tannin-stained cat mug. It’s my usual decaf, the one where I got the last box on the shelf last time I went to buy some. I am almost through the box of 70 tea bags, so I’m hoping when I go this week there are plenty on the shelf!
Wondering what to write on the page, I found this Tim Holtz sticker and altered it to suit my page or my current thoughts… it seems appropriate today : (
And here’s the finished page with all the little black cats looking in different directions or at each other perhaps. I probably should have saved this page for Black Cat day but I’m sure I will think of something else before then.
Let me know what you think in the comments. As always, thanks for reading!Ingredients
