Collector of Curiosities, Black Cats and Pumpkins

Hello friends,

Second post for today since I seem to have created more pages than I thought I had this month, how did that happen?  Some kind of arty frenzy perhaps haha.

today’s journal page . . .

Today’s spread is inspired by this cute Halloween fabric that is covered in black cats and pumpkins in various poses.

I actually made two pages using this fabric, this is the second one and I decided to keep it whole instead of cutting it up into all the little individual images like I did on the other page.

For this page, since it is such a busy background, I thought I would keep it simple and just add some words using these Tim Holtz Halloween whatever-you-call-them IDK, and make a little story, but the thing I find with all of these premade things is that they never say what you need them to say!

So I was playing around with a few of them, and I liked how it could almost be one description of a person, except there was just not another suitable option to finish it off.
So instead of using the cardboard words, I got some black card and wrote out three of them in white pen, and then made up my own fourth line…

Now it reads:

She was peculiar;
A wonderous witch,
Collector of curiosities,
Black cats and pumpkins

That’s quite a collection she has!  #catgoals LOL
