Hello friends, and Happy New Week!
I’m sorry I’m a bit late with posting today for AEDM as we woke up to zero degrees and frost! I needed to go out and do regular every day activities but having to scrape frost off my car meant that everything took longer that it normally would and so I got home late and only just managed to take some photos before it got too dark – as it was I was crouched right up against the window lol.
today’s art . . .
Today I am sharing a matching pair of tags made in a similar way to the tag I made last Tuesday but there is a difference and I go into details tomorrow when I have more time. This is my Day 22 offering for Art Every Day Month.
Here they are, don’t they look magical? I hope so as I am sharing them with Try it on Tuesday where the current theme is Make It Magical!
These tags are made from a cereal box (Special K in case you were wondering) and then gessoed and painted with some acrylic chalk paints.
These lovely ladies are from a Paperartsy stamp set by Lynne Perrella (one of my favourites) and I was in the mood for some trees and birds and nature so I pulled out this set. Actually I pulled it out to do something else as a gift but ended up making these tags too!
The panels that the stamps are on were watercoloured using a very watered down version of Prussian Blue by Mijello. It’s usually a much darker blue but I wanted something really light and decided to add a lot of water instead of looking for a lighter paint colour.
After I stuck them into the inside of the tags I felt like there was something missing so I added these words that I found in my stash and they were exactly what I wanted even though I didn’t know what I wanted while I was rummaging through the box!
And here is the photo I took right up against the window in desperation as the light was fading. Just as I was taking it an amazon courier banged on the door and by the time I got back, there was no more light left for photos so I was lucky to snap it when I did.
Since they are tags, I am also sharing them with Tag Tuesday as their current challenge is Anything Goes. If you missed any November AEDM posts so far – check them out in the slider below. I’m on my way to visit you all for yesterday and today!
Let me know what you think in the comments. As always, thanks for reading!Ingredients
